honestly i appreciate you sharing your growth as a person, and i understand your concerns. coming from someone who’s always supported a free palestine it means a lot. nonetheless it’s important you’re receiving positive support for your stance and that you continue to educate yourself on this topic. we know the only true solution is a free palestine, and while the potential outcomes to get there may be scary, not only is it the right thing to do, but it’s the only way we can end this nightmare

But it’s been really hard and I feel even more confused. I also feel that the radical solution (abolition and total decolonization), tho the morally correct one, would lead to serious unintended consequences that could make things worse.

a nation that is based on hate and ethnic/religious supremacy and colonialism will never be a safe place, in any form. that’s why a two state solution just can’t happen, you would be enforcing segregation bc “they just can’t get along”, when we know the reality is that palestinians just want their humanity recognized and to live freely on their own land, and that doesn’t mean no one else can live with humanity or freely

if you actually follow through on the practical steps of achieving abolishing and decolonizing israel (killing millions), then it is not the morally correct solution, so you’re not wrong to think that. but it is good to always keep learning and striving to be better.
