I’ve gotten both on quizzes before. I’ve gotten Gryffindor too but not often and I don’t think that aligns with me, I think that’s more from poor quiz making. I’m in grad school and plan to get my PhD to become a professor. I love to read and I take online college courses just to take them. but I also love the idea of proving people wrong, I’m very ambitious. my MBTI aligns with Slytherin

A lot of us say we are in two houses, to represent two halves of ourselves. I’m officially a gryffindor, but I also have slytherin traits. So I call myself a slytherdor.

In my opinion, a true ravenclaw values rules and structure while being ambitious and valuing growth/knowledge. A true slytherin however is less structure based, less rule following, and about equally if not more ambitious for knowledge. In the end, the question is: do you find that you’d rather be an organized, structured knowledge seeker, or one who works towards a goal in their own unique way regardless of rules or societal constraints

as in would I break the rules just to succeed? I had that thought and no I wouldn’t. if I succeed I want to be bc I genuinely earned it through hard work

Maybe not break but bend? Slytherin nature is all about individuality. I personally feel like you could choose to be either. Are you truly someone who strives for an independent, unique self who is the best they can be? Or are you someone who would be one in many, a happy member of society

I’ll think on that. I do know the sorting hat is big about “putting you where you would thrive” and as much as I value ambition and success I do think I thrive more academically than success wise. not sure yet, I’ll think some more. thank you for that thought, that’s helpful

Of course! Any time :)

because I don’t see myself as someone who even bends the rules. I follow them to a T. but I also think I value being more of a unique self than a member of society

You can be in one house with traits of another. At that point it’s all your choice

I got Ravenclaw and took it again and got griffyndor which I’m definitely not. so I took a longer version and got Slytherin 😭I went down a whole rabbit hole of taking a bunch and I keep getting Ravenclaw or Slytherin

I was just thinking how Harry was largely slytherin but told the sorting hat to not place him in slytherin 😭 that would be me. I think I’d thrive more in Ravenclaw

Remember the sorting hat takes your choice into account 🙂 go ravenclaw!
