hi!!! i am an environmental scientist and although yes trump’s doing horrific things to the EPA i can offer some hope!!!! coal and oil are becoming more expensive as they get harder to find and as renewable energy gets cheaper and more efficient. regulations or not the writing is on the wall for the fossil fuel industry and they know it

My energy company lets me pay extra for sustainable electricity generation, so i do, because i can still afford it, but what about the more price-sensitive customers?

there’s a major shift happening (annoyingly slowly) in the economy and internationally. most major companies who had regulations on them loosened by trump haven’t actually started polluting more because a) other countries they work in are stricter b) it’s good for their reputation and c) they expect the regulations to be back in 2 years anyway
