Okay i’ll bite. How do you define a human right?

I mean you can say gun rights are a constitutional right, but they’re definitely not “human rights”. People can in fact live without owning guns. Even then, I feel the second amendment is up to interpretation because guns have evolved so much since the 1700s and they don’t explicitly state what type of arms you can bear.

If they meant just the arms available at the time don't you think they would have said that? It'd be the same to say that the founders could have never imagined the internet so free speech doesn't hold when you use it.

If you mean that we should only be able to have the equivalent to a militiaman's rifle, the equivalent today would be a select fire intermediate rifle with a 14.5" barrel, so we would actually have to loosen gun laws.

You can live without education too. Thats not really a coherent definition.

I personally don’t think education is a human right even if that’s what the ai overview says, but neither my definition nor the ai one include guns being a human right.

I mean I don’t completely disagree, but they have passed laws to regulate internet providers. Similarly, I think there could be stricter laws for gun distributors too like stronger background checks.
