Imagine a portion of the money you made from your first recordings being used to buy back those recordings. You’re paying for your own shit. Crazy. It’s a good business decision because she has about 1-5 more years of super fame so she’ll easily make it back off mostly those recordings alone but still crazy. Idk how I’d feel about giving my money to people for MY shit. Crazy. Did I say crazy enough? Good for her though I guess

She lied the whole time. And her fans ate it up and continue repeat her lies. If she had signed a 10 year contract, she would have owned them outright at zero cost. She wanted 7 years. Because they wouldn’t give them to her for 7, she spun the entire “stolen masters lies”. Wake up Swifties, mother is a liar.

she’s the industry now that she has control, they weren’t offering any deal where she got 100% control over her own music and work, including music vids and concert movies, until it didn’t mean anything to them because the taylor’s versions were worth more. NOW they sold it to her in a deal where she has full control over everything she’s made. they wanted to control her and she made her own versions till they got popular enough to where they no longer could control her or wanted to.

She does own all of it though, that’s the thing. Most labels create contracts where, you’re right, and other people own the singer’s music. That’s the norm. For Taylor, she now owns every piece of art she has ever put out which is NOT normal for singers.

she didn’t own it at all, they sold it, and she’s a big enough star to where she should not have to be controlled by her past recording company. The re-recordings started as a personal project for her. The fans were the ones who said they would support her and stopped streaming and buying the original albums, and encouraged her to keep releasing the Taylor’s Version re-recordings. Okay so if I knew as little as you did, I’d be just as annoyed and confused too. But her old record label, who practically raised her, was selling her stuff to someone they knew she particularly didn’t enjoy working with. That would piss anyone off. When the contract was expiring, she wanted to purchase her work before moving on to another label. She didn’t want to resign with them at all. Your screenshots literally say “agreed provided that TS materials would be subject to the terms and conditions…..” which are the terms and conditions she did not agree with. Notice how she also wanted 7 years and then pushed back and wanted 10 years (which is exactly what #22 said). It’s over dude. You clearly don’t like Taylor, weren’t around in 2018 when this whole thing went down and are ignorant on the past 7 years where Taylor’s Version is involved. So please go do something productive.

Dude, real talk, I’d be embarrassed if I was willing to go that low with insults over a conversation that did not affect me. I kinda feel bad for people like you. Only because it would be so draining to get so angry all the time over something so insignificant. If your identity was revealed and your friends and family saw this, I can’t imagine you’d be too happy. You’d probably lash out again but at them tbh..

Still, goes to show how easy it is to be the ugliest version of yourself when you can hide behind a screen and your anonymity like a coward. Anyways.. just thought you deserved to hear that. It could make you a better person. Or maybe it’ll just make you angrier. Likely the latter, but it’s never too late to change
