Yes, I know a few people who are gay. That’s why I respect them like I respect any other person. I didn’t meet a gay person til I was like 20 tbh. I personally just believe that if you’re gay, you should be treated the same as someone straight.

But gay isn’t something you believe in. We ain’t Santa or the Easter bunny. I understand that in your culture gay people don’t have a lot of viability and i understand that your teachings don’t condone homosexuality. I grew up very religious so i understand to a degree what that is like. But I also understand that i have a personal relationship with my creator and they created me as I am they made me gay an all the other things I am. And I am no less than anything else In creation.

I don’t understand… like, don’t believe gay people are born naturally? You don’t believe that sometimes people aren’t always straight? So the proper term for that is called willful ignorance.

It is beautiful that you have your culture and faith and by no means should you shed that. And it’s beautiful that you respect people even if they are not in line with your teachings. We need more people like that. But I want to say one more time gay is not something you believe in or agree with it just is something that some people are and those people are everywhere and they are as beautiful and flawed as any other person.

Can you please define “not believing in”? I don’t understand. To me, not believing means you don’t think it exists in real life
