People who are truly Christian dont. A lot of people that claim to be Christian judge as if they are in a position of God, and honestly, a lot of people who don’t follow the religion do the same thing. Jesus Christ helped the broken and weary and tried to spread his love throughout the land. Even though this dude’s killer could claim to be a Christian, it doesn’t embody the true point of the religion, which is to love and care like Christ. Jesus would have loved and cared for him. Then there’s not a ton of Christians. I’m kinda tired of everytime Christian’s do something horrible it just gets excused as “they’re not real Christians”. No, by definition they are Christian. You don’t get to just throw them out because it’s convenient for you. it might be a controversial statement but… i’m a lesbian who hates gun violence. i also believe that every gay and trans person in the US should be armed. i used to think i would never own a gun, and that the number of guns in this makes everyone less safe. and it’s true, they do make us less safe… but we as a community are by NO means safer for being unarmed. the police won’t defend us when we’re alive, the courts won’t back us when we’re dead. we can only rely on ourselves and each other.
