Also another video angle showed it but how come every time she has a malfunction and needs to get out the thing, there’s always a stage crew dude who is acting like he’s trying to help her down but really just wants to touch her butt?? Happened at the renaissance tour too. So weird.

Because the U.S. government deemed slave based markets as a "civilized" practice, and of course made promises to tribes based on how "civilized" they were. Yes, tribes sided with the Confederacy during the civil war, again because they were manipulated and given promises that the Union previously broke. The Buffalo Soldiers were put together by the U.S. government and promised US citizenship if they helped push westward expansion. There is no "good side" and "bad side" in this argument.

The shirt shouldn't have been worn because of the purpose of the Buffalo Soldiers. You can't just pick and choose history and put it in the context of present day because that's not how that works. You have to put it in the context of the time around it or else you're purposefully hyperbolizing a group of people, unfairly so.

Please do research on the Five Civilized Tribes and the promises made to them pre-civil war, and why they sided with the confederacy. Obviously you were the one who didn't do your research.

And whether they were the "last one to let their slaves go" or not, that does not fucking make it okay to wear a shirt that romanticizes violence against indigenous people as a figure with lots of influence. Fuck off.

Please open your brain she is “romanticizing violence” she’s highlighting how the WHITE PEOPLE pinned the two races against each other. Like I said it’s about how corrupt America is which is the literal theme of the whole album. U lookin at ts surface level

And if there’s no good side or bad side why are u upset about the shirt? It’s American history the same way native Americans enslaving black people is American history

Anonymous replying to -> #13 4w

If it's not romanticizing by putting some fancy filter and font on the shirt then I don't really know what is. Did you even read what's on the shirt? It's hard for me to believe that it's supposed to be focused on the white influence on the groups considering what the shirt says. I'd be more accepting of that sort of messaging if it was made clear by the shirt or maybe Beyoncé herself

Not everyone will look into the context of the shirt. It's just overall upsetting to see from someone with such influence.

I meannn if the theme of the tour is exposing Americas corruption I don’t see how u can’t put two and two together😭 and it’s not like the buffalo soldiers weren’t victims themselves. Look honestly u can think whatchu want but reality is the shirt is on theme with the tour. I hope you’re this loud when it comes to the mistreatment of black people

U must just hate her cause if u actually knew anything about her u would know she pays tooo much attention to detail to just throw the shirt on without knowing the history and without intention….

Of course I speak out against the mistreatment of black people, tf? Who are you to assume that. I've proven that I understand the history, you just are brushing all of it off as me being a "hater" or whatever when i literally said i wasn't lmfao

upvote 1 downvote

Actions speak louder than words😂 ur purposely ignoring the mistreatment of Black people during that time and only focusing on the purpose of the group that White people created so yes it seems like ur just using this as an excuse to hate on beyonce instead of recognizing her point in wearing the shirt

i'm not caught up on celebrity legal issues or drama. that's very vague though. a lot of people are "involved" but to what degree? can you actually point me to something that highlights her being problematic and/or harmful or is it just like... she was around?

upvote 5 downvote

a quick search online says no allegations of misconduct have been brought forth against her. the most important thing seems to be unconfirmed private parties/events the carters and diddy were involved in. that's not that serious without further evidence of wrongdoing though - them and others have had a lot of parties with diddy involved but that doesn't mean they were doing anything wrong - so is there more serious stuff that's confirmed?
