Crazy that 70-80 year olds are generally seen as unemployable due to physical and mental decline. But we're allowing them to run our entire country 🤔

Exactly!! For some reason most people are okay with that, like the fact our president and some of our senators could die due to old age isn’t scary enough! Or the fact they could develop dementia/Alzheimer’s while in office and the fact that those people won’t be alive to reap the consequences of the policies that they actively push that is destroying our country/world/democracy!

I’ll give you ten thousand dollars to stop thinking and let a senile 100 year old run this year

That’s because on average, 70-80 year olds don’t have the best physical and mental health. However, the ones who run our country, due to their wealth, they have better physical and mental health compared to younger people.

At that age your cells literally don’t regenerate as well as younger people, doesn’t matter how much or how many resources you have, after 75 yrs a gamble how long you have left

so money equates to how well you will age? the genetic/ predisposition of dementia/alzheimer’s? physical degeneration? i wasnt aware money made you immune to aging!🙄

I didn’t say money makes you immune to aging. Throughout one’s life, if they have more money, they can buy healthier food and take healthier medication, along with other stuff, which in the long run will make their mental and physical health better over time. Compare that to someone who didn’t have as much money, they couldn’t get all the benefits the richer person could get.

while i understand what you are saying, and you arent exactly wrong, tbh i think biden is proof that that’s not the case. no amount of preventative care will stop the inevitable consequences of aging, and the current situation of our country is exemplified in part because of the lack of young and sound thinkers. i hate to say it but an age cap needs to be implemented. 70 max in any and all offices. we are just too fragile to continue to risk these things
