Real question: is “pussy” meaning “cowardly” too offensive to use casually? As in “I don’t want you to think I’m a pussy”

idk if it's offensive but it's certainly vulgar. Like I wouldn't say that in front of a kid

If you feel like it's offensive you can always substitute it with something else regardless of people's feedback

yeah, i'd say so. furthermore it's kinda misogynistic to use slang for female genitalia as an insult...

I mean I use it casually but I’m also a gay chick so ymmv. It hits different coming from different people, in different tones. Great joke to make at a gyno exam tho

Vulgar, though funnily enough the origin of the word is not vulgar. It is a shortened version of the word “pusillanimous” meaning cowardly.

Not what the word refers to! Refers to the english word “pusillanimous”, meaning cowardly.
