You’re generalizing to the point of confusion. Yes both things are true but the missing piece is that guys will categorize girls (they deal with) into two baskets: girls they will never take seriously (but still date), and girls that have long term potential. Just like how girls have guys just as friends and guys they’re attracted to. A more precise generalization
