What’s the closest I can get to the feeling of college clubs, in the real world? Where like we get together in a group and organize events, work towards a mission, etc. There’s often social mixers in my city but those doesn’t feel the same. I like when th

ere’s a goal we’re working towards. I find there’s less pressure for me socially bc we’re engaging in the activities and happen to be getting along / developing friendships organically. Whereas the social events feel like there’s a huge spotlight.

Student Government, maybe Environmental clubs depending how big they are, Mock Trials, and Pre-Law clubs are good too.

I’ve been to recurring recreational activities like run clubs and dance workshops, but it’s kinda just like you meet them once a week and don’t really seem that outside of that. Of course, this takes more initiative on my part to reach out to them outside of the recurring activity, but it’s a lot more friction than when you have a natural reason to text someone bc ur working on x event / community project with them in an org
