I’ve been really interested by this topic, and want to hear multiple sides. Do you think it’s ok, and be normalized, to talk about wages in the workplace? Do you think it’s problematic? Are there industries and jobs that are the exception to your opinion?

Talk about it. Legally they can be sued if they stop you from doing it. Greedy corporation grease balls with tell you otherwise. Never trust them, but be strategic with how it’s brought up.

We need to be talking about them and unionizing for fair wages

Talk about them. Don’t care where you work at, don’t care what you do. TALK ABOUT IT! I went for about a year being underpaid because of this rule, and in the end I was blamed for it and never saw the missing money. So: talk about it, normalize it. Please!

I think it can be beneficial. It may bring light to any unfairness or could motivate employees to work harder and give more effort to get more. That’s assuming there’s no foul play and mature adults are at work

No. It's private for a reason. Discussing it generally is ok. But your actual wage is not a good idea. It creates a hostile work environment.
