That’s awful. Maybe try this email and js copy and paste: Hello, this is (insert name). Recently my roomate and friend passed in a car accident. I will be needing some time to grief and wanted to let you know I will not be in class for an extended period of time. I am concerned about absences and grades and do not want my future to be impacted negatively. One the other hand I desperately need some time to be away and heal. Please let me know if there is any way you could help, and thanks
