It’s going to be okay. He has those boundaries because he loves you. You made a choice that went against those boundaries and you still love him. Children often defy their parents but sometimes we all learn from doing things that disappoint the ones we love and ourselves. Be honest and genuine. When you are independent fully you can live differently. In a grand scheme of things it’s not the worst thing ever. You got this
