
It depends on the anorexic honestly. I’m formerly anorexic and for me it was anger towards my own body, some might be focused on issues that are surrounding their own image. “Am I good enough? Is this what I wanted? Am I like who I see?” Understanding the roots of who you’re talking to is the biggest step. Anorexia is extremely complicated and isn’t a mental issue you can just pinpoint in a days worth (You know that obviously but just take a step in that direction)
Find her comfort foods and try to make it more of a habit for eating. When you eat she eats or when she eats you eat. Be supportive and let her know that your stomach expands when eating more and shrinks when you don’t eat so it only gets worse not eating then to eat. Establish eating at least 3 meals a day and snacks. Deadass get her anything and everything she likes. Fast food is bad but it puts on a lot of weight. Proteins and stuff like that are very helpful as well as a lot of carbohydrates
