I’m genuinely interested to know who the people are out there who pay to have YouTube with no ads. Do they just not know that ad blockers exist?

I dont pay for premium (im cheap and stingy) but I only use YouTube on my ps5 where you cant block ads. Even with network-wide adblocks, YouTube feeds ads to consoles directly and cannot be filtered unfortunately so you’re forced to use premium to block ads

Yt premium comes with other perks tho like shows and movies, music, etc.

I mean maybe a decade ago with YouTube Red back when they were backing their own films, but definitely not nowadays

This is coming from a computer science major too so I’m decently savvy but too locked in to the “eh I can’t be bothered” mentality to pay for it
