I’m the same way, I really like hanging out in person but texting kinda sucks. So I just make an effort to hang out with them. Sometimes not everyday, but after shared classes I’ll ask them to get coffee with me, or I’ll walk them to their next class or something.

Obv tho you have to have some compromise. Like I have a few friends from my highschool where we can’t hang out in person, so I just make sure I try to call them at least once a month, because that’s better than texting.
