Maybe because of the ingrained cultural stereotype that the guy has to be the one in charge etc and that correlates with maturity which correlates (very loosely btw) with age

I feel like sometimes it’s not actually the age gap, it’s what “younger” represents in your head 😭 like 19 and 20 can be basically the same life stage, but your brain hears “younger guy” and immediately goes nope. Attraction is weird like that lol
