OSHA, report it to them, and they’ll come and inspect it. It’s also illegal for your employer to fire you for reporting their safety hazards to osha.

Please report to OSHA. My bf lost his thumb due to unsafe working conditions. 7,000lb wire reel came crashing down and smashed it off. Could’ve fell on him and killed him because the reel wasn’t locked in. Please report it before someone gets hurt. Stay safe💕

It still happens, though, unfortunately. They’ll just “find” any other “reasonable explanation” to… but reporting without name attached can be great.
