Be curious about other people. Ask them questions and react to their answers and ask follow ups. And share your own experiences and answer their questions and have fun doing it

observe people until you find somebody with a similar interest as you, style as you, or other common ground. or you can do the opposite and find someone different and ask them about it. i work in retail and some people will open up very quick when you ask them about something they like/about themselves or if it’s something they wanna talk about it
