These are NOT the people you want to hang around. Be friendly in classes and for projects, but otherwise avoid them. Join some clubs, find people in your major or similar majors. It took me an entire year to gather my merry band of friends but I would do almost anything for them.

Yeah it seems like the good looking kids to always do this cause they think they are superior. Kinda hard to avoid when you go to a public college.
