GENUINELY HOW TF ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO PEEL A BOILED EGG!? This happens to me every time. I’ve done it underwater, out of water, let it cool off, peel it straight off the stove and they peel like this every single time UGH

I put ice cubes in a bowl of water and leave the eggs in there for around 8 minutes. If you leave them for too little time they don’t cool off, too long and they get harder to peel.

Mostly you just have to be gentle. But two trick so your meaty claws don’t harm them: Gently tap the raw egg with a spoon until you hear a pop, but don’t crack it. It’s the membrane separating from the shell After boiling roll the egg to crack it, then use a spoon to gently lift the peel off the egg

Add a teaspoon of baking soda or vinegar to the boiling water. Then put them in ice water after they are boiled.
