Probably due to a bad experience with a food item containing it. I hate chickpeas because of a bad experience with hummus, now I hate anything with it.

I don’t enjoy the taste. Like some people like spicy food and others don’t. I just find them subjectively unpleasant, but I can eat food so sour other people won’t touch it. Taste is weird.
