Has deleting social media helped anyone else with their mental health? I feel behind in life and it’s depressing seeing all the accomplishments of my peers.

YES YES OMG, i deleted tiktok in september and i have a daily screen limit on instagram that i don't even reach anymore so it also makes you choose if it's actually important. My life has been so much better, my attention span has improved, i don't get annoyed as easily, I feel more connected to my peers, I started reading a ton, picked up new hobbies, just overall i feel like more of a functioning human rather then spending hours scrolling every day

I use one of those apps that helps limit screen time and it’s made my life so much better. It’s kept me off apps I was basically addicted to

My life is so much better without social media. I also stopped looking at the news and pure bliss 😌

It’s called ScreenZen!! They ask for money occasionally, but I didn’t pay anything. I highly recommend them. There’s a lot of different ways you can set it up, but I personally limit each offending app to 5 uses for 7 minutes each day, resetting at 5pm (I’d sometimes stay up past midnight for it to reset). Somedays I’ll use up every use for all of my apps, other days I don’t even open it. But have never ever gone over my limit, and I’m someone with poor self control. It’s been such a help for me
