It’s not as common for them to think that of foreigners, since they’re aware that tattoos carry no stigma abroad.

yea exactly😭 like i visited with two tattoos no problem. i’m also very obviously white and a woman.. they definitely did not think i was part of a gang. it was refreshing to see so many other people my age with cool face piercings tho. way more common there than where i live

It carries no stigma because Americans get tattoos just for fun. 0 meaning. Some of them also look so fucking stupid. But this is America. Land of the dimwits 🤣

I guess so, yeah. But it’s important that when I say “foreigner”, I do mean anyone who isn’t Japanese, mostly everyone who isn’t East Asian. So that also includes Africans, South East Asians, and of course Americans.
