Curious, if y’all had any thoughts
I’ve deduced that this guy I’m talking to basically keeps people at arms length because of things that have happened in the past what do yall think is the best way to show him that I care and Im not going to leave or hurt him and break that wall he has up

Lowkey just tell him you don’t care. Share personal things with him, and whatever tidbits (or backstories) he shared back, make sure to be supportive. Make it clear that he is allowed to have emotions. Sometimes the best way to show your safe is to be vulnerable, and take that leap of faith first

So everything I’ve read on this I like in certain ways. To preface I’m getting my masters in counseling. It sounds like a diagnosis from someone else rather than the actual person which makes it hard to actually pinpoint. We can potentially say that someone has “past issues” but we can’t say unless there is more input from the actual person. Also saying you don’t care about someone is pretty fucked up in general so don’t take that advice

Love to know what? Like love to know that I care or love to know just like how to get your walls down in general.

If you don’t like how they’re acting, leave. It’s a hard truth but trying to analyze someone causes more stress for you
