Some tips I have: - synthetically alter or "do" your hair in some way. It'll make you feel more put together. Whether it be some subtle streak highlights, dye, curling your hair, straightening it, a keratin treatment, blowout, etc. - brows waxed/threaded every 6 weeks - use brow gel and brush upward - get a pack of lash spoolies, brush, then curl them. No mascara
Yes, I really like the Neutrogena moisturizer gel (beware if you are sensitive to products with fragrances, but it doesn't seem to bother me), good molecules lightweight moisturizer, Vaseline advanced repair lotion (yes, it is is technically a lotion, but it is a magnificent final layer if my skin is super dry)
But really, it's all down to layering technique. IMO, the best is to first have a hydrating serum/humectant (ex: hyaluronic acid serum, snail mucin, etc), then a moisturizing gel, then a moisturizing cream (like the one I mentioned). I recommend an occlusive layer of Vaseline for the under eyes, eyelids, brows, lashes, and lips. It keeps those areas from getting dry/crusty.
Actually, scratch the advanced repair idea for your entire face bc sometimes Vaseline on the entire face + tretinoin is a no go. Just keep it on the eyes and lips. And ik this technically isn't a moisturizer but during the day in place of your gel and cream you can just use your humectant and an spf. I love the European La Roche Posay "anthelios" (not the American formulation) .
