You could lie to him next time in person and tell him your wife called me. Gauge his reaction. If he looks like a ghost, you have your answer.

Thanks girl, I tried it and it actually worked. I pranked him by saying his wife called, and he completely lost it. He started panicking, praying, and looked like he was on the verge of a full blown panic attack. After watching him spiral for a bit, I finally told him I was just joking. Sadly got my answer
