Just a psa but no British person under the age of 30-35 uses stone, we all grew up with metric in school ( with the exception of height that for some reason is a mix of both, although i still only know my height in cm)

pretty sure it's so old that it dates from a time when people would use a big rock as a standardized weight on a local level. not sure how exactly they picked 14 at some point but it's About As Much As A Big Rock, basically
