Do you think someone was ever truly a real friend if they cut you off over political difference, especially when they don’t really inform themselves and just go along with what others say, even though you respected their views. This my friend since hg.

i don’t think i could cut a friend off over a political difference without at least hearing them out on it. there are a few nonnegotiables for me but even if it was one of those i’d want to hear it from them in great detail so i could be 100% sure

Depends on politics I think. People have different opinions, but having racist, hateful MAGA opinions is deal breaker.

They don’t have the capacity to be real friends with anyone unfortunately. Their friendships are performative just like their “beliefs”

Thanks for the opinions I mean I was just so confused on why she just told me we couldn’t be friends anymore. Tbh I think everything happens for a reason, just sad to think that she was different.

yes!!! like politics are way more than just how you vote. politics are your worldview, and if you show that by voting for trump, i don't want your friendship
