because our perception of the world changes, responsibilities increase and we understand much more about the world. we are explorers when little, and survivors when adults.

You see that laws are made to keep people in debt and politicians are corrupt.

Instagram also doesn’t help. I’ve been getting constant reels of the childhood things of Christmas and school parties and whatnot.

I've gotten more happy as I've grown. I was born into a conservative religious abusive family, parents divorced, and I escaped and have become pretty successful. My understanding is many people • Have 2 married parents • Are not in oppressive religious cultures • Grow up on Disney and candy • Have high expectations of quality of life with low expectations of the work they'll have to do

This is truth but you can mitigate the effect my making a huge effort to keep experiencing as many new things as possible per unit of time that you can. When we’re young everything is so dope and time dilates so much because almost everything single we do day and week to week is novel to us. The feeling of passing faster is directly correlated to how many new things you per unit of time.

People usually get happier as they grow up. Especially getting a wife and kids and stuff

Childhood ignorance and wonder is replaced with the reality of life and actually knowing what’s behind the scenes of the things you didn’t before. Imagine being able to see a childhood movie or how exciting it was to go somewhere for the first time
