What do you think this is? You need to assume you have to pay for everything unless someone tells you that you don't. It's all about the dollar everywhere

I mean, “free laundry” would just mean they add it in the cost of tuition so instead of paying 80k, you’re paying like $80,130. People may psychologically like free laundry more bc the tuition just feels like some large, abstract number, but functionally it’d be the same.

don’t know why they downvoted when unfortunately that’s the truth. i’m shocked there isn’t a fee to use the public restrooms

130 is still a lot even at high tuition prices

I guess i meant people would feel the weight of it less if the bill was just presented to them as $80,130, since tuition often feels like an arbitrarily large number. Like in a parallel universe where the tuition happened to cost $130 more and laundry was free, I don’t think people would complain even though the cost is the same.

Ohh i see what you mean Unfortunately my sibling’s university tuition+excess costs combined is still less than mine, despite factoring in laundry to their cost (my laundry is 2.50) and having similar tuitions 🥲
