for the love of God, please do not take it. There is nothing more frustrating as a middle schooler than trying to learn more and having a coach who doesn’t know much at all. I had two coaches like this for both soccer and volleyball and it was painful. hope job hunting goes better for you, no matter what you chose to do!
Don’t take it- some middle schoolers actually do know things, at least some technique. Parents also likely have played so will be able to tell that you are not qualified. Keep looking and good luck! There’s got to be some other options out there, especially ones that pay better. You got this!
i say do it! the middle schoolers arent good at it either! my dad knew nothing about volleyball and was my assistant coach for 2 years. if you are gonna bring an excited, fun energy then i dont see any issue (and theres prob kids soccer training ideas online, in the chance you have to ever teach on ur own!
haha embarrassing to be immediately contradicted. i was looking at this from the team being a small, school team as that was what i played on. but if it is a serious travel team or something i can imagine this wouldnt be the best position for them. maybe they can look into info about the team, maybe if they travel or have serious games and not just scrimmages. if the job application specific mentions at leSt a year or two of soccer experience, i would say maybe return to looking
