So I’ve been planning on moving out soon and getting my own apartment with my sister. Any advice?

Read the contract, especially fees and deposits Think about weather (cold, hot, rain) for getting in and out and lighting Make notes on how to get service for something breaking Check out the places at night for noise and lighting

My biggest advice is to make sure you’re able to get out of the lease if something happens. Also for your first I would look for something furnished if possible. It’s a little bit more expensive but that way you’re saving on the cost of furniture (which is soooooo expensive)

Good points And to having stuff, you will have to move, you will move somewhere else 12 months from start so weather will be a major factor there Don’t go crazy buying stuff all of it will have to be taken down and packed and moved. Hit up buy nothing sell nothing or thrift stores so you can keep good stuff and donate the rest when you move out
