How bad is it that my bf is 26 and I’m 18 🫣

Legal? Yes. Do I worry for your safety? Yes. I'm 24 and the idea of dating an 18 year old is out of the question. There's such a significant development/experience gap within just those few years. Someone that age looking to date younger is specifically wanting someone without that experience for whatever reason. I can't force you to leave him but OP please be careful and keep any sort of support lines you have with friends and family open. :(

Your personality's can mesh and be great together, that doesn't mean you belong together. It's very weird and creepy whether or not he was looking do date someone younger. Every 18 year old thinks they are more mature for their age, you aren't and he's taking advantage of your vulnerability.

Prime example from 4. That answer is why you need to stop asking the fucking internet what they think

Crazy idea: OP, an 18 year old, is just emotionally immature (AS TEENAGERS TEND TO BE!!!) and trying to figure out what healthy intimacy looks like.

All of them aren't emotionally immature. Healthy intimacy can be amongst anyone. There's no age range on that

>tend to be. And you don’t “unlock” emotional intelligence after ‘turning into an adult’ at 18. It’s not a matter of what’s ‘okay’ or ‘right’ in general. It’s about what’s ‘ok’ or ‘right’ for the individual [OP, in this case]

No shit. IDK why you feel you need to explain all this to me. No you don't. HOWEVER you could've been through so much you've developed it already. That's not necessarily a good thing either. Are you happy though? If you are no matter what you're considered grown at 18. Why are you worried how fucking old they are? What you worried about what people think? This is your life no one else's. Fuck everybody else

That's what anyone should be thinking. Instead of asking the world what they think. Those same people have no idea how to run their own life. But you're asking them? NOT
