What helped me a lot was getting light comfort foods, so even when I don’t want to eat I can eat just something light and small

Focus on her mental state and try to soothe it

Make her breakfast and lunch, offer to share dinners if she cooks. Like wake up make smoothies and eat bacon w waffles. Go workout together then go get acai bowls together right after or something.

hey thx for responding, she has some comfort foods but usually she just prepares them and eats very little of what shes made or none of it, is there anything people around you have done/said thats helped encourage u to eat more without seeming overbearing?

No, I’m really hard on myself about eating despite not wanting to eat but I try to make myself eat SOMETHING three times a day. Sometimes it’s dry cereal fit breakfast and half a can of green beans for lunch, but it’s something

This is a sweet thought and I don't think you meant it badly at all, 2, but in my experience this could create a ton of anxiety in someone with an eating disorder

Idk when they forced me to go a eating disorder facility they said different approaches to it helps. There’s different types of Ed so it’s not an easy fix anyway.

Yeah in middle/ high school I never really ate bc I didn’t have anywhere to sit at lunch. I didn’t have a lunch pass either so I’d have to pay for a meal sometimes, I was broke. So I would starve myself lol. So it’s nice now to have someone to eat with even though I get worried my face might look fat. But it’s really just a mental thing I’ll look in the mirror and look fine but look down and freak. Its whatever now
