Count calories, at least loosely. Stay under roughly 2,000/day. I budget 500 for breakfast, 500 for lunch, 1,000 for dinner. Earn more w aerobic exercise. Try to do some strength training too to not lose muscle mass. Drink a glass of water before eating. Fiber is your friend.

Try to limit your daily sugar intake to 30g max. It’s a little easier than counting calories but after you get the hang of counting sugar, you can start counting Cals. Stop snacking as well, not feeling full is not the same as being hungry.
