Id start by complimenting people you genuinely notice things about. Like “i like your nails”, “cool hoodie” “i like ur fit” etc. It helps me find friends sometimes, also makes people feel good and in return makes me feel good.

Baby steps. If you want to have conversations with people, start by asking for directions then leaving. Up it little by little, you have to put the reps in

Just go out and do it. At 14, I couldn’t even be in any spaces without being 5 feet away from my parents. Now I am so much better. Make little goals, get used to being uncomfortable (feeling uncomfy is normal and part of growth, better than staying this way forever) and track your mood when you do it. Like I had to go to the psych hospital for this, and now I feel like it doesn’t affect me as much.

Therapy and proper medication for any other mental illnesses can help. I personally haven’t found an anxiety medication that didn’t also make me depressed or made my hands shake.

By little goals I mean “go for a walk without headphones and make eye contact with a stranger” because those little goals are all leading to the ultimate goal which is to improve your social anxiety levels

Yeah my psych hospital took us to a target and we had to talk to one employee each about where a product was in the store
