because historically, through orientalism, western media has fetishized asian culture as exotic and has especially fetishized asian women as docile or seductive sex objects for westerners’ pleasure

You get to a point where you realise that most offence is just people getting upset about stuff you didn’t do but other people did and assuming you’re doing the same, it’s literally a trauma response.

I mean it does feel kinda weird when people say they’re into a particular race, especially if it’s not their own race. Like, it’s boiling a whole race of people down to a handful of stereotypes that make them sound exotic and attractive. Like, I’m judging white guys who talk about how they’re only into Latinas and white girls who say they’re only into black guys just as hard as I’m judging white guys who say they’re into Asian chicks.

In some cases yeah I can agree but my girlfriend whos Asian actually cares about me and my wellbeing, for me personally it’s because of their culture, honesty, and loyalty
