Take it outside, somewhere at least 15 or so feet from anything flammable. Either use a fire pit or something to contain the fire. Split up the book down the spine into several pieces or else the paper in the middle won’t burn. Build a fire (look up how to do that on wiki how or something.) light the fire with a long handle lighter. DO NOT use gasoline, but lighter fluid can help if the tinder is damp.
You can also use something like an old charcoal grill and build a fire in that. Just don’t build a wood fire in a nice new grill. Make sure that the paper is directly in the fire and stays there for a while as tightly packed pages don’t burn well at all. Keep feeding the fire for a while then let it burn down to coals. Afterwards, put it out with water from a bucket or hose.
