Why are people mad at Trump for what Iran is doing? Like didn’t Iran go against their agreement to not make nuclear weapons? I understand people debate on world involvement, but I’ve seen lots of uneducated discourse on this /gen

couple reasons, I'll try to be straightforward and unbiased. years ago, under Obama, Iran and America agreed to a deal about Iran not developing any nuclear capabilities in exchange for America kinda chilling out wrt them. In Trump's first term, he got rid of that agreement, so Iran went back to developing nuclear power. Additionally, Trump campaigned heavily on not starting new wars, and now he is starting a war by stepping in to help Israel, who without question were the aggressors here.

Thank you for the comment. Makes no sense why Trump would get rid of that agreement that seems like asking for trouble. I guess my following question is are we only involved because 1. That’s what USA does & we are allies Isreal, and/or 2. Because Russia and China backed Iran ?

In my opinion, it's only because of Israel. China and Russia are nominally allied with Iran but we wouldn't be gearing up to bomb them just because of that.

Trump got rid of it because Iran was not abiding by the deal. They were increasingly enriching uranium past the civilian energy level needed of 3-5%. The deal was dead long before Trump took office.

China geared up for Iran and sent them an unknown payload of 3 cargo planes. Not sure why allies can’t be allies.
