This just made me remember this one Nigerian, Christian, anti-feminism, misogynistic, male “influencer” that came online wailing about how men aren’t given enough attention when their wives go through pregnancy and childbirth. Apparently, the men suffer too because they have to see their partners in pain and we don’t pay enough attention to them. So ladies, while that 7 pound baby is ripping you open, make sure to check in with your man and ensure he’s doing okay. That’s totally how that works!

So does the guy just pull a Batman and just disappear for 9 months? Also a man that does nothing for the pregnancy is not a man. To say we do nothing at all is hurtful hyperbole. A man, a husband, a true partner is going to be supporting you throughout the pregnancy. Whether it’s fulfilling some crazy craving at 3 in the morning or carrying your belly for a bit to give your back some relief. Yes you’ll be the one pregnant but fuck me if I’m not going to make that pregnancy as smooth as possible.

The man’s body isn’t changing for 9 months , hormones aren’t changing, you don’t give birth , go through ppd , breast feed , and so much more it’s all the woman so let’s respectfully stfu

I mean it’s kinda written in between the lines on how you presented your opinion. Trust me I did read what you said. But, correction noted. The fact people say “we’re pregnant” is really not that deep it’s just a way to celebrate having a child together as a couple. No one is thinking oh boy they’re both carrying babies. You’re upset because you think it takes away from the mom when it really doesn’t...

Plus with an actual supportive and caring partner the pregnancy does effect both parties, perhaps not both physically, but mentally does count as well. And if your argument is well yea the mom does both…then ok? Kind of a weak argument. Also you can’t respectfully tell someone to “shut the fuck up”.
