For me, I usually just buy whatever is necessary for the move. Like buying a non refundable plane ticket so I had to go or my money is wasted. Depending on how/where u wanna go start looking for places and take off running from there

When I move to hays, it wasn’t a big move, but I had already signed my lease and ran into my mom at Walmart… she just asked when I move in and walked away. We’re still close, but it definitely upset her

Get whatever you need first, make a plan, know exactly what you are doing then tell them!

I found a really great job on the east coast, and I’m looking to relocate there maybe by the end of summer? But my parents are so “I did all of this for you” so I’m just worried about it. I think if I get the job and then say I have to relocate that might work

Are you for sure moving? Like job or not? Because if so, that’s how I would do it. Be like “I accepted this job here” sounds like the easiest option…

I’m probably going to visit a friend up there and get a feel for the area to see if it’s a good fit, then make the decision from there, but the position is pretty good, if I like the area I’ll set up an in person interview then work out the relocation part of the interview goes well
