I’m on the taller side for girls (5’10) and ive never had a problem dating shorter guys. I was insecure at first especially at formal events or when I wear heels because the difference became more pronounced, but honestly after a bit I liked it because it drew attention to my bf, like why would a tall girl date a short guy? He must be something special. but it’s all about how u are comfortable being perceived

For me, I just don’t want to feel massive in comparison to the person I’m dating. Even as a shorter woman, I tend to be insecure about my size. I don’t expect him to be 6ft+ but at least the same size as me or taller.

Thanks for your response. What about feeling bigger than a man makes you feel insecure? I am not understanding why you want a man to feel more massive.

Part of it is feeling protected. The other part is, because I’m already smaller, whenever a man is smaller than me I just feel massive. It’s also just awkward when a guy tries to lend you a hoodie and it’s too small…

Interesting. Well thank you for the honesty. I’m 5’10.5”, so I’m taller than average but I’m not tall to a lot of people. I personally would date taller women but I was curious why many tall women are not open minded.

Listen dude, I’m 5’ 3”, the bar, in the most literal sense of the word, is very low. I don’t think it makes him bulletproof…it’s just a sense of protection/security. It all comes down to personal preference.
