Don’t ask for nor follow manipulation tips online, do as your intuition tells you. It really means nothing if he does/doesn’t text you first, he could always be second and be better than a guy who sends you a good morning text everyday first hour of the day. However if it is important to you that he starts the conversation some times, go for it and don’t text him, just to see how he acts. But, don’t take either his text or lack of one as some type of sign.
