It simply has not. We have stats on these things, especially since we can look at things like births out of wedlock and see a dramatic spike in the past half century.

Little hint: data shows whats recorded, not what actually happened. We have gotten a LOT better at getting a total/comprehensive population dataset in recent years. This means there is MORE data than ever, and communities that were once not included now are.
