Why is it that you think a baby not wearing shoes is unloved? Socks maybe but if they’re not walking they don’t need shoes. Don’t waste money on shoes that will get worn for a month and then go to a goodwill or landfill

(Important context: I do not have a baby and have never attempted this feat before but it seems difficult and like it wouldn’t provide any benefits unless the baby is walking, in which case they’re more toddler than baby I think)

Plus if I was a baby trying to figure out how to move my body I don’t think hard soles keeping my toes straight would help

They're certainly not loved enough. You wear shoes and clothes when you go out in public. And thank you for letting me know you don't love yours enough either if you have any kids. Wow. You think it's a waste of money to put shoes on a baby

Okay but really, we wear shoes because we don’t want to hurt our feet stepping on things. Babies are not walking, babies don’t NEED shoes. If a toddler or little kid is running around with their feet on the ground, sure, you would want their feet to be covered. A baby’s feet are not going to be touching the ground.

Plus, tons of people, ESPECIALLY young kids, have sensory issues with shoes feeling uncomfortable and restrictive, often exacerbated by how difficult it is to make a comfortable and consistently sized shoe that small.

And with how fast babies grow compared to how often their feet should be touching the ground in a public place (which is never), it IS a waste of money to put shoes on a baby.

Like coverings of some kind probably, but shoes? Nah
