No, you shouldn’t care about a system that sends people to their deaths, inflicts lifelong trauma, and that abandons people after their “usefulness” is up. I feel bad for soldiers and disgusted by military industrial complexes.

Exactly there is no good reason to support, respect, or join the military! Especially when they claim they are “fighting for our freedom” overseas in the middle of south asia or wherever they go…

Bruh no good reason to respect the military…? What are you on these are the people that fight for you and will protect you if heaven forbid something bad happens. I know plenty of people that have joined the military simply because they love it but others who join for the opportunities they get later in life. You may obviously disagree with the way they do things or recruit or whatever, but respect the people and their mission to protect you!

Nah. They drafted my grandfather and agent orange killed him and caused heart problems for all my aunts and cousins and me. My grandmother is still fighting the VA to get them to even fucking recognise it.

And that’s just what the military did to *my* family. *Millions* are dead, disabled, in poverty, or under oppressive regimes because of the US military leaving power vacuums.

They choose to go themselves…. It’s a great opportunity for those who are underprivileged with no opportunity for higher education.

At what cost?? The most important thing is your health and time which the army takes away when you sign off your body for years at a time just so you can get a car or need even more money to pay for things you need after the trauma you experience. The people who significantly benefit from this are the rich wealthy oldies

My ex-girlfriend enlisted solely because she’d get assistance with university tuition. And yet she’s still struggling to even get that whole process going.

Exactly that!! Not only that but vets are treated like shit and often forgotten once they’re disabled or not medal-decorated. Like with the 4th. Constant noise and chaos and loud ass booms that are harmful for many people, their support providers and animals, and degrading for mental health because of PTSD.
