I requested a week off time off for a part time job cuz I’m gonna be on vacation the whole week. Is it normal for that to be denied?? I just got scheduled regularly for that week but imma be gone and don’t know what to do

Yep it's normal to be denied. You can still be off. You won't get paid

This used to happen at my restaurant all the time. I’d normally try to find people to cover but once I wasn’t able to and just called the manager to explain that I literally would not be in the city😅 even if I requested two months in advance this would happen! They normally understood though:)

So I transferred to this location this week, so I had to wait til last week to request it and I’m leaving in 3 weeks. So it would have been 4 weeks ahead and they make schedules two weeks before
